Pursuant to adjournment the Senate was called to order by President                                 
Therriault at 2:45 p.m.                                                                             
                                                                                                    
The roll showed seventeen members present. Senators Cowdery,                                        
Davis, Ogan were absent.                                                                            
                                                                                                    
Senator Ben Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that                                          
Senator Davis be excused from a call of the Senate for medical reasons                              
on May 18. Without objection, Senator Davis was excused.                                            
                                                                                                    
The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Bunde. Senator                                      
Hoffman moved and asked unanimous consent that the prayer be                                        
spread. Without objection, it was so ordered.

Senator Ben Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that the                                      
Senate stand in recess to the Joint Session. Without objection, the

In accordance with Uniform Rule 51, Speaker Kott turned the gavel
